The Marine Air-Ground Task Force Demonstration showcases the unique element the United States Marine Corps brings to the fight like no other force in the world. MAGTFs are a balanced air-ground task organization consisting of a ground combat element (infantry, armor, artillery, scouts and snipers), an aviation combat element (both fixed wing aircraft and helicopters), a logistics support element (communication, combat engineers, medical, motor transport, supply, etc.) and headquartered by a command element. Visit the MAGTF page to read more.
The Paradise Flyers R/C Club consists of active duty military, families, retirees, and civilians with a mission to promote the design, construction and flying of remote controlled model aircraft. Since 1998 the sixty-person club has been flying model aircraft aboard Marine Corps Base Hawaii. During this year’s air show the Paradise Flyers will showcase a flying demonstration and static display of assorted model aircraft. Demonstrations will include turbine, gas powered, and electric jet and propeller drive aircraft, including modern jets and WWII Warbirds.
At the Airshow some of us will wish we were up in the air doing some of the amazing feats of gravity with the performers. Don't sweat it, you can still get up close and personal at our static display of military, civilian and privately owned aircraft at the Airshow! Some of the displays you may even climb in and experience what it feels like to be in the pilot's seat. Take photos, ask questions with some of the crew members standing by and get into the spirit of 100 years of Marine Corps aviation.
