General Information

When do the gates open?

Installation access will open at 8am. Air show grounds will open at 9am. Grandstands (for preferred tickets holders) will open at 10am.

Are the shows the same on all three days?

Yes.

Should I bring hearing protection?

Hearing protection is encouraged, especially for young children and those sensitive to loud noises.

Can first responders bring their family on Friday with badge ID?

Yes, if arriving together. There will be a 100% ID check in effect for all passengers 18+.

Can Veterans come on Military Appreciation Day?

Yes, if the Veteran has established DOD installation access.

Will there be a section for wheelchair/disabled veterans/handicap?

Yes, there will be an ADA viewing section set up by the base.

Are pets allowed?

No. Only service animals with proper documentation will be allowed entry.

Where can we find the schedule of events?

We do not have a performance schedule at this time.

Can I bring beer, sodas, and food to the Airshow?

No outside food and drinks (including alcohol) are permitted at the Air Show. Ice chests and coolers are also prohibited and subject to confiscation. Only coolers containing medicinal items or infant formula will be allowed. There will be food and drinks available for sale at concession stands located throughout the spectator area.

What if it rains?

The Kaneohe Bay Air Show will go on, rain or shine. Please be prepared and dress for the weather.

Can we purchase the preferred seating tickets on the day of the show?

Yes, depending on availibility.

Will there be ATMs?

No. All MCCS/MCX sales will be cashless. Food vendors may accept cash purchases.

Are there water bottle fill stations available?

Yes, there will be water fill stations available.

What kind of water bottles can we bring in?

A reusable water bottle (e.g. Stanley, Yeti, Hydroflask etc.)

Are diaper bags allowed?

Yes, diaper bags are allowed. Please note all items will be subject to search.

Transportation and Parking

Will there be a lot of traffic getting on to base?

Absolutely, yes. We encourage you to arrive early, carpool, rideshare or take TheBus.

Can I get there via public transportation?

Yes, however, public transportation does not come onto the installation. Please plan ahead by checking with TheBus for routes and stops.

Where can I park?

Upon entering the base, security personnel will direct you to the general, preferred (those that have purchased with preferred tickets) or handicap parking areas. Parking is free for attendees and available on a first come, first served basis.

Will there be shuttle services on base?

There will be shuttle services from designated parking areas to the air show grounds. Please check back for details.

Which entry point do I take to get to the air show?

All vehicles will be routed through the installation’s Main Gate for entry.

Are chartered buses allowed?

Yes. Keep in mind there will be a 100% ID check in effect.

Can I walk from the Main Gate?

Yes. Please note that the distance is approximately 3 miles to the entrance for the air show grounds.

Can we tailgate in the parking area?

No.
